On September 12th, Jonathan was officially coated to be a student doctor! I am so proud of him. He has worked so hard and has put in many hours of schooling to get to where he is now. Even though it seems like his goal of becoming a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine is far away, I know that graduation day will be here before we know it. We anxiously await for that extra special day!!
My mom, granny, and aunt came up to support/celebrate with us. My mom got Jonathan a watch for his special day.

Downtown Lewisburg, Ice Cream Social, and Pictures of Arianna
DOWNTOWN LEWISBURG, WV
When my mom, granny, aunt, Arianna, and I went walking around downtown we ran into an unexpected car show. It was really neat to see all of the older model cars. Downtown is only 4 minuets from where we live.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL
Every year the White Sulfur Springs Ward throws a donation/ fund raising for the scouts. Everyone pitches in with yummy food. This time around I was the lucky one to be in charge. I wish I would have taken more pictures, but I just couldn't find the time. But there was tons of delicious food and sweets- which I ate a lot of!

Catching you up on what's been going on...
I went with several other girls to go pick raspberries last week. We had a great time, but it would have been way better if it wasn't raining. I ended up with three green containers full of yummy raspberries as well as some squash and zucchini. Arianna did such a wonderful job. She sat in her stroller the entire time- I think she was just mesmerized by everything that was going on around her.
Nativa, Becky, and I have our fun day activities all planned out, and on one of those fun days we decided to back cupcakes. They were super yummy. We went to Nativa's to do the baking since she has more room in the kitchen; plus Arianna loves her dog.
I also went to the church to cut up peaches to get them ready for freezing. It was nice to learn something new and useful for a change.
And as promised I will post pictures of our apartment, as soon as it's picture worthy...till then I'll keep you posted on what's been going on.

The Greenbrier River Trail
The Greenbrier River Trail consists of about 74 miles of a gravel trail. It's used for just about anything. There's also a camp along the way where you can camp and go swimming in the river. Becky, Nativa, and I went out there about a week or so ago. It's really nice and shady so you don't get too hot if the sun is out.

New Friends
Before moving here to WV I was a bit worried about what I would be doing for fun, or who I would make friends with, as well as Jonathan. But upon our arrival we made instant friends!
The first year guys: Jonathan(my husband of course), Derek, Stewart, James, and Joe
And here are all of the first year's wives and little ones: That's me, Rachel, with Jonathan and our beautiful daughter, Arianna; Derek and Nativa (Arianna loves their dog, and Nativa too.); Stewart and Becky (Arianna also loves Becky); James, his wife will be here after she has their baby (we are excited to meet her!); and then last, Joe, Kathryn, and their new baby, Ozzy-who has a head full of hair!
All of these wonderful people have made our transition so much easier. Becky, Nativa, Kathryn, and I hang out during the week while our smart and hard working husbands are away at the school studying.

9 months old!!
Arianna turned 9 months today. She is such a sweet heart, as long as she isn't tired, LOL! Recently she has started this "fake" cry. She sounds like she's crying, and continues to do so until she actually makes herself cry for real. In the process she makes a growling aahhh sound. It's way too funny. I try to address it but I just end up smiling and laughing!
Arianna's upper front teeth are coming in. They haven't broken through (another reason for her fussy-ness) yet, but I'm hoping they will soon. She's been chewing on everything, even biting-which does get addressed without a smile or laugh!
And we are going to have to invest in a gate soon before she ends up rolling down the stairs. She's still doing her army crawl, but can get around really fast! Every now and then she does what looks like a downward facing dog. I'm pretty sure she'll be standing within a couple of months, maybe even walking.

Park Day
Arianna's first time in a swing. She didn't know what to think.
I was trying to get a cute picture of Arianna sitting here, but she was way too interested in the bench.
Looking at the camera, but no smile...

Arianna and Her Friend Lauren
Arianna and Lauren loved playing together. Lauren loved sitting on and crawling over Arianna, and Arianna loved grabbing toys away from Lauren. Now that we are in WV Arianna misses her friend.

6 month old pictures
Jonathan and I had Arianna's pictures taken when she was 8 days old, then we had them taken when she was 6 months old, and when she turns 12 months old we are going to do a family photo shoot, which I'm really excited about! Below are the pictures when she was 6 months. Enjoy!

Update Time!!
So, I'm always checking everyone's blog like everyday to see if anything new is happening, but there are usually no new posts. (Frown) So, I'm going to create a new post hoping that this will motivate others to do the same. So, find some time and post away people!
As you all know Jonathan and I are now in Lewisburg, WV, leaving behind our wonderful friends in beautiful Miami, FL.
We've went from packing(in Miami) for the big move, to unpacking and settling here in WV.
We have been doing great. Jonathan and I have made friends with our next door neighbors- Cliff and Autumn. Jonathan has been studying, playing video games with Cliff, grappling with Cliff, and spending time with Arianna and me. I hang out with Autumn when the guys are playing games- it's nice to get out of the apartment every once in a while. I've also been playing with Arianna and am always amazed at how fast she has grown! She's learned so much within the past couple of months. Arianna has been enjoying spending time with her mommy and daddy. She loves to Army crawl every where, getting into things she's not supposed to. She can go from being on her tummy to sitting up, she can wave Hi and Bye, and just this morning, while watching Your Baby Can read, she was clapping to "If you're happy and you know it!" (She only clapped like twice, but she clapped all by herself.)

Our Baby Girl
Arianna is getting so big! She weighs about 21 or 22 lbs, is about 27 inches long, and is 6 1/2 months. (She'll be exactly 8 months when we move!)She can sit up all by herself, roll over (when she wants to), and even stand up by the couch when holding on!! She's SO SMART!

All About Arianna
Arianna is doing well. She is growing like a weed! I tihnk she weighs about 17 or 18 lbs and is between 26-28 inches long. Oh, she's 5 months, one week, 3 days old. Her eyes are still blue, her hair is growing, finally!, and she seems to learn more and more each day (she laughs, coos, grabs her big 'ol feet, bounces when held, wiggles, is trying to turn over, looks like she's trying to talk, puts her fingers in her mouth and in mommy's and daddy's, screams when she's excited, drools everywhere, spits up everywhere, poops, pees, eats, sleeps, can kinda sit up but falls over, and is such a daddy's baby girl).
Nice and clean...
All smiles, even when she first wakes up!

Time seems to go by so quickly these days! Life seems to stay busy, never slowing down. There is always something that needs to be done or somewhere to go.
Jonathan and I are wrapping up this semester- only two weeks left! Jonathan's online classes keep him sooo busy. It seems like he's on the computer all day long. And my classes, even though they are not super challenging they do keep me a bit more busy than I would like.
Arianna went swimming for the first time. She loved the water! I was worried that she'd get burnt, but she didn't. YAY! I don't know what I would have done if she did get sunburn. And it was nice to hang out with my girl-friends (Jamie, Nikki, Brittany, Kim, and Nichole).
Arianna is getting so big. I measured her today and she is 25 inches long! She can grab her feet now, and sit up for a few seconds all by herself! Her laugh is too cute, and her smile is adorable. Her daddy and mommy love her to pieces.
That's all for now...

So, Jonathan and I found a place in WV. It's calld Woodland Acre- or something like that. Two bed room for $650! Can you guys believe that. Compaired to what one pays here in Miami for a two bedroom that's next to nothing! And I'm thinking, "How much money are we going to save with a rent that low." It'll be like living back in Nasvhille, only it's WV. Hehe. I'd put pics on here but I don't have any. Sorry. The only delima we have with this place is fitting our couch in the living room. Our couch is 13ft. long, and the length of the living room is like 14ft. long. But, Jonathan got out the tape measure and a piece of paper, along with a ruler and did some sketching and measurements and figured out a way we can solve our long couch problem. YAY for us.
Get this, before we found Woodland Acre we were checking out some other places for rent. I was in the kitchen and Jonathan asks, "So, what about the place over the funeral home?" What? A funeral home? I'm thinking, "He must be pulling my leg." But no, he was serious, dead serious. LOL (dead serious, get it?) Anywho, there's a place to rent in WV for $450 a month, above a funeral home if anyone's interested. NOT the Lewis family!!!
I've been meaning to post some pictures of Arianna lately but haven't gotten the chance to do so, but I did do so today. Here they are:
She has figured out how to suck her thumb. It's cute, for right now.
How cute is this picture. Jonathan and I were getting ready to go on our morning walk. It was a bit chilly out and this is the only hat that we had that would fit Arianna.
Arianna is getting bigger and bigger every day. Right now she can scoot around, literally around. I'll put her on her tummy and she'll eventually scoot so much she turns herself. I usually find her turned in an oppostie direction than from how I had originally put her.
Kisses from Daddy.
Thanks Grandma for this awesome Valentines outfit. Happy Valentines Day!
